Hello Family,
This year marks the 26th annual Pittman Family Reunion Scholarship Fund! These
scholarships, based on GPA and academic achievements, will be awarded at the Pittman Family
Reunion Cookout on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Thanks to your generous support, the Education Fund has a balance of $1,339.89, with $1,400
awarded to 10 students in 2024.
General Scholarship Guidelines
Submit all documentation (report cards, academic awards) by Friday, July 11, 2025 via
email to pittmanedu@gmail.com .
Candidates must attend the 2025 Pittman Family Reunion and Youth Conference.
Open to students aged 3-25.
Our youth conferences will be held Saturday morning July 26, 2025 at 8am. We will discuss goals as one of our topics. The location will be announced at the reunion. There will be refreshments served, a raffle and giveaways.

Pittman Reunion Scholarship Award Guidelines
1. We are asking that all awardees attend the Youth Conference on Saturday morning.
2. Documents to support the award must be received by the deadline date.
3. Awardees must attend the family reunion.
Grade Level Monetary Amount
Pre-Kindergarten to Kindergarten $25.00 to $50.00
1st to 5th $50.00 to $100.00
6th to 8th $75.00 to $150.00
9th to 12th $100.00 to $400.00
College Student (up to age 26) $150.00 to $600.00

Funded by the Education Committee and named in honor of its founder, this prestigious$1,000 merit-based award recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.
Eligibility Criteria:
Family members (Pittman heritage or adoptee) aged up to 26 attending or preparing for full-time college, university, trade, or vocational school in 2025.
Minimum 2.5 GPA. Must attend the family reunion and be present at the Youth Conference on July 26 at 8AM.
Application Requirements:
1. Essay (1000+ words) answering ONE of the following:
o What life experiences shaped your goals? How will this scholarship help you
contribute to your community and continue the legacy of the Pittman family?
o Describe a major challenge and how overcoming it prepared you for success.
How will this scholarship help you contribute to your community and continue the legacy
of the Pittman family?
o If given unlimited resources, what issue would you solve in your community? How
will this scholarship help you contribute to your community and continue the legacy of
the Pittman family?
2. Official transcript sent to pittmanedu@gmail.com.
3. Letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or community leader.
